The EMERCOM of Russia held a farewell ceremony for Alexei Katerinichev, who served as the first deputy head of the administration of the Kherson region for security. He died September 30 as a result of rocket attack.
The farewell ceremony was attended by the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Alexander Kurenkov, his deputies, personnel and veterans of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as the family, relatives and friends of the deceased, reports TASS.
1 October President Vladimir Putin signed decree, which posthumously awarded Alexei Katerinichev the title of Hero of Russia.
Aleksey Katerinichev worked as the First Deputy Head of the Center for Special Risk Rescue Operations “Leader” of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. He served in the border troops and the Federal Security Service. Organized the activities of the Operational Headquarters of the FSB Directorate for the Kaliningrad Region. In the Kherson region, he provided protection for civilians.
