Fighting between Israel and the Palestinian group Hamas in the Gaza Strip continues. The death toll from Israeli strikes on the enclave has exceeded 11,000. The bombing began on October 7 after an attack by Hamas militants on southern Israel. About 1,400 people were killed in the attack, and more than 200 were taken hostage by the militants.
Israeli Defense Forces spokesman Avichai Edri earlier said that the IDF stopped fighting in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip for four hours for humanitarian purposes. Currently, residents of the enclave are being evacuated through a checkpoint located in the city.
