A request was sent to the Minister of Education, Sergei Kravtsov, asking him to explain the exclusion of Russian classics, including Alexander Pushkin, from the list of books for preparing for the exam in literature, RIA Novosti reports.
The corresponding request was prepared by the State Duma Committee on Family, Women and Children. In the request, the deputies are asked to explain how the list was compiled.
It is also mentioned that earlier the Federal Institute of Pedagogical Measurements decided to exclude the works of Pushkin, Lermontov and Gogol from the USE preparation program in literature, while books by foreign writers remained in the program.
