The Ministry of Education is ready to consider the inclusion of patriotic songs by modern authors in the school curriculum of music lessons, reported TASS Deputy head of the department Tatyana Vasilyeva. State Duma deputy Sergei Kolunov, who came up with the initiative, indicated that the program would definitely include compositions by Shaman, Oleg Gazmanov and the Lyube group.
Sergei Kolunov reported the day before “Parliamentary newspaper”, that he sent a letter to the head of the Ministry of Education, Sergei Kravtsov, with a proposal to supplement the music lesson program. Today, March 19, the deputy said “RIA News”that the department supported the idea. According to him, the list of performers and songs will be worked out together with the expert and parent community.
Tatyana Vasilyeva noted that in order to include patriotic songs in the curriculum of school lessons, the vocal abilities of students must be taken into account, as well as the “artistic merit” of the compositions and the psychological characteristics of schoolchildren.
Sergei Kolunov explained that teachers and parents of schoolchildren, including mothers and wives of participants in the special operation, asked him to include modern patriotic songs in the school curriculum. According to the deputy, studying patriotic songs created during a special military operation will “instill in children a feeling of love” for the country.
