The Ministry of Education of Russia will prepare a textbook on the classical Ukrainian language

Schoolchildren of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics will be able to learn the Ukrainian language, said the head of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov at a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with the government. The Ministry is already working on the creation of an appropriate textbook.
“Pupils, by decision of parents and teachers, will be given the opportunity to continue learning Ukrainian as their native language. For this, special curricula, methodological materials have been developed, teachers have undergone appropriate advanced training. A textbook of the classical Ukrainian language is being prepared,” said Mr. Kravtsov (quoted from TASS).
The head of the Ministry of Education also noted that from September 1, 1,183 kindergartens, 1,376 schools and 203 colleges will open in the LPR and DPR. “By the beginning of the school year, these schools have been provided with textbooks, where necessary, capital and restoration work has been carried out, computer equipment has been supplied,” he added.
