The Ministry of Education and Science proposes to allow graduates of a specialty to enroll in a master’s program on a budget

The Ministry of Education and Science is developing a draft law, thanks to which graduates of the specialty will be able to enter the magistracy on the budget in a related direction. Alexey Levchenko, Deputy Director of the Department of State Policy in the Sphere of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Science, spoke about this.
Mr. Levchenko spoke at the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “A New Vector for the Development of Higher Education in Russia: Problems and Prospects at the Present Stage”. He said that it is planned to maintain the possibility of studying within the framework of a two-level system – undergraduate and graduate – in the humanities, economics, as well as in those areas where it meets the requirements of the labor market.
“We believe that the two-tier system will provide an opportunity for foreign students to study at Russian universities and will allow us to continue mutually beneficial cooperation with friendly countries, including cultural exchange, trade relations, and tourism. It will also make it possible to popularize Russian values in the international arena,” Alexei Levchenko is convinced (quoted by TASS).
June 6 at the Ministry of Education and Science announcedthat all Russian universities were excluded from the Bologna process. The Russian authorities decided to abandon the Bologna system (which implies the division of the educational process into four years of bachelor’s and two years of master’s degree) and create their own. Expectedthat she will earn from 2023.
