By spring, the system of teaching the humanities may be revised
Rumors that a single historical and worldview course will soon appear in all universities of the country have been circulating since the summer. Now it turns out that we are talking about much more significant changes. Already in February-March, the course “Fundamentals of Russian statehood” will be developed, created by the Ministry of Education under the leadership of the Presidential Administration and the commission of the State Council of the Russian Federation. At the same time, the very principle of teaching the humanities in Russia will also be brought to a common denominator.
The “overly liberal” humanities faculties are waiting for a shake-up of the format “to the ground, and then” … And teachers and students in general are on a mission to form a new image of Russia.
All these big changes are being prepared under the auspices of the DNA of Russia project, which is patronized by the first deputy head of the presidential administration, Sergei Kiriyenko. From the side of the Ministry of Education and Science, the course “Fundamentals and Principles of Russian Statehood” and the new principles of teaching work are being handled by Deputy Minister Grigory Gurov. Andrey Polosin, director of the Rosatom department for interaction with the regions, is called the scientific director of DNA of Russia.
Recently, Sochi hosted a scientific-practical conference entitled “Problems of worldview and social sciences. Russian DNA. There, special attention was paid to which teachers should work in universities. “It is important that teachers in Russia use the domestic knowledge base, and not concentrate on the Western model of philosophy, political science and other social sciences.”
However, “DNA” is not hiding from the academic community, but on the contrary, it holds presentations at major universities. Recently, such an event was held at St. Petersburg State University.
Project curator Andrey Polosin told the audience that the project will cover 500 universities and 100,000 teachers. That “DNA of Russia” sets as its main goal the creation of a new worldview not only among students, but also among associate professors. “This is retraining, which will take place on the basis of at least 6 centers in Russia,” said Polosin (one of the “bases” at TSU is Auth.) – At this stage, we have developed a test version of the program, which includes three blocks: lecture, seminar, and final – defense of graduation papers.
– I was going to hear about this new historical course, – Alexander, a professor at a St. Petersburg university, told MK. – What was my surprise when they began to tell us about some fundamental change in teaching in principle, especially liberal education. About a new unified state concept in ideology, about a new image of Russia… We heard about such a turn for the first time, many colleagues were simply at a loss. Many remembered the USSR with its only true ideology.
The bewilderment on the part of the university public is dispelled by science fiction writer Sergei Pereslegin. Unlike other beneficiaries of the project, who let in a lot of fog, Pereslegin willingly shares information and impressions from the Sochi forum.
“Philosophical texts (now) are not read by anyone,” reports Pereslegin. He believes that the new image of Russia “peaceful, after the NWO” cannot be formed by denial alone (not the dictates of the West, not LGBT and transgender people, not the culture of cancellation). The writer says that he asked young people about their values, and often received the answer “freedom and justice.”
“But our ‘freedom’ is not even translated into foreign languages.” Asking rhetorically what it means to be Russian then, “how to convey our cultural cognitive code to the world,” Pereslegin says that one of the main ways to form a new image of Russia is “through the education system.” “And this is understood at the level of the president and the government.” Therefore, so quickly, “in a fire order”, and there were “great forces and means” for what will form our new ideology in the future.
