The Ministry of Finance clarified that they created easy tax conditions and convenient infrastructure for the self-employed in order to motivate people to legalize their activities. Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said that the government has no plans yet to extend the right to a tax deduction to the self-employed.
“Who pays personal income tax, those tax deductions are available. Who doesn’t pay VAT? These are self-employed and working under the simplified taxation system. But what are the stakes? Considering that there are absolutely minimal tax rates, we do not intend to extend the tax deductions that we have for personal income tax to these special regimes, ”said Mr. Siluanov in an interview with blogger Ksenia Paderina (broadcast was conducted in the official group of the Ministry of Finance in “In contact with”).
