The Ministry of Digital Development is not agreeing with the government to reduce the rate on preferential mortgages for IT specialists from 5% to 3%, said Maksut Shadayev, head of the ministry.
“From what we probably will not be able to agree within the government is a reduction in the rate on preferential mortgages from 5% to 3%. It was our proposal,” said the minister (quote according to RIA Novosti). At the same time, under the mortgage program for IT specialists, the age and salary requirements will be reduced, he added.
Earlier, Shadayev, commenting on the mass exodus of IT specialists from Russia, spoke out against “draconian measures” against workers in the IT industry. According to him, it is necessary to create conditions for specialists to want to return to the country. We are talking about discussing “guarantees” for workers so that they understand that “they have nothing to fear” in Russia.
On November 11, Shadayev announced that the Ministry of Digital Development was developing a program for the return of IT specialists to Russia.
