The Ministry of Digital Development proposed to equate electronic driver’s licenses with physical ones

Mintsifry prepared draft government decree, according to which the electronic version of the driver’s license is equated to the original document. We are talking about the rights shown using the application “Gosuslugi.Avto”.
If amendments to the Rules of the Road (SDA) are adopted, then it will be possible to present a driver’s license not only on paper or in electronic form, but also by displaying the relevant information in the Gosuslugi.Avto mobile application.
“The presentation in electronic form using the mobile application of the federal state information system “Unified Portal of State and Municipal Services (Functions)” of the information contained in the documents provided for by these rules is equivalent to the presentation of such documents,” the draft resolution says.
From the fall of 2022, in the application “Gosuslugi.Avto” users have access to electronic driving license. You can download a full digital copy of the certificate or its QR code to present to the inspector. At the bottom of the code contained clarification that the traffic police officer has the right to require a regular certificate for verification.
