The Ministry of Digital Development and the Coordination Center for .ru and .рф domains reported that the technical problem that caused disruptions in the operation of sites in the Russian domain zone has been resolved.

The problem, according to the agency, was related to the global DNSSEC infrastructure, a set of extensions to the DNS protocol that ensures the reliability and integrity of data and eliminates the possibility of IP address spoofing as a result of attacks. Writes about this RBC.

Most of the problems were recorded in the capital, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar Territory, Bashkiria and Kostroma Region.

Operators then began to disable DNSSEC to solve the problem, but the Ministry of Digital Development warned that problems with DNS operation may persist for some time, you need to wait until the updated data is distributed throughout the domain name system.
