On April 6, an attempt was made to infiltrate a sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) into the territory of the Bryansk region, reported Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in the Telegram channel.

“Today, at about 8.30 am, the cover units of the State Border of the Western Military District, together with the border detachment of the border department of the FSB of Russia in the Bryansk region, prevented an attempt to penetrate the sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, numbering more than 15 militants, into the territory of the Russian Federation near the settlement of Sluchaevsk, Bryansk region,” follows from the Defense Department.

The Ministry of Defense added that during the clash with artillery fire from the Western Military District, the enemy was defeated. The DRG was dispersed and, “having suffered losses, withdrew to the territory of Ukraine.” The department clarified that there were no casualties among Russian military personnel.

Earlier today on the prevention by the border department of the FSB of Russia in the Bryansk region of an attempt by a group of 20 Ukrainian saboteurs to penetrate the territory of the region informed Governor Alexander Bogomaz in his Telegram channel.

March 2 Bogomaz informed about the penetration of a group of Ukrainian saboteurs into the territory of the region. According to him, they opened fire on the car. As a result of the incident, two people died, another child was injured. Later, the FSB reported that a group of Ukrainian saboteurs was “squeezed out” into the territory of Ukraine, where they were subjected to a massive artillery strike.

The so-called “Russian Volunteer Corps” took responsibility for what happened (participates in hostilities against Russian troops on the side of Ukraine). According to one of its leaders, the actions of the group of saboteurs were coordinated with the Ukrainian authorities.

Russian President Vladimir Putin called the incident a terrorist attack. The head of state stressed that the fire was opened on a car with children, the saboteurs saw them and started shooting anyway. March 3 RF IC aroused criminal cases under articles on terrorist act, encroachment on the life of a law enforcement officer and destruction of property.
