Four armored trains operate in the war zone in Ukraine, said Lieutenant-General Oleg Kosenkov, head of the main department of the railway troops of the Ministry of Defense. According to him, all attacks by “sabotage and reconnaissance” groups on these trains were “successfully repelled.”
According to Oleg Kosenkov, the Russian armed forces have four special trains in the war zone: Baikal, Amur, Volga and Yenisei. They escort trains with military cargo and are engaged in the restoration of damaged sections of the railway.
“All the attacks by sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the armed formations of Ukraine on special trains during the performance of their tasks were successfully repelled with heavy losses for the enemy,” Mr. Kosenkov told TASS.
