The Ministry of Defense spoke about the feat of the Hero of Russia Nursultan Mussagaleev

The head of the Russian military department, Sergei Shoigu, presented the Stars of Heroes to military personnel who showed courage and heroism in carrying out the tasks of the NMD. Thus, the Gold Star medal was awarded to the company commander, senior lieutenant Nursultan Mussagaleev. According to the Ministry of Defense, the officer, together with a subordinate unit, discovered a large amount of enemy manpower and equipment. The fighters entered into an unequal battle, which lasted two hours. The company of Nursultan Mussagaleev destroyed 19 military vehicles, which forced the nationalists to retreat.

The Gold Star medal was also awarded to the tank commander, senior sergeant Nikolai Matrenitsky. His crew held back the offensive of superior enemy forces. The enemy, having lost 2 tanks and 2 infantry fighting vehicles, was driven back to their original positions.
