The Ministry of Defense spoke about the course of the Russian-Chinese military exercises

During joint exercises in the Sea of ​​Japan, Russian and Chinese military personnel destroyed a floating sea mine and repelled an attack by a small target. About it reported in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

“The sailors of the Russian Navy and the Chinese Navy destroyed a model of a floating sea mine, which poses a danger to navigation, from a large-caliber machine gun on board the large anti-submarine ship Admiral Tributs, and also repelled the attack of a high-speed small-sized target,” the message says.

In addition, during the exercises, Russian ships worked out a sea battle with a mock enemy ship. Also, Russian and Chinese military personnel conducted artillery fire at a simulated aerial target from rapid-fire anti-aircraft guns, as well as conducted communications training and “improved their swimming skills as part of various formations.”

Joint exercises of Russia and China “North. Interaction – 2023″ in the Sea of ​​Japan began on July 20. They will last until July 23. The Chinese side is the organizer of the exercises. At the Ministry of Defense of the People’s Republic of China called the purpose of these exercises is “maintaining the security of strategic maritime channels” – coordinating the military forces of the two countries and increasing the ability to maintain peace and stability in the region.
