Press Service of the Russian Ministry of Defense showed video of how sappers from the western military district are clearing mines and disposing of explosive objects in the city of Valuiki, Belgorod Region.
In the video, a military man in a bulletproof vest walks around the garden with a mine detector. Then he shows the aftermath of the shelling: the broken roof and the wall of the house.
Then, in the video, a local resident in a house destroyed by shelling gives an interview. “Our area is very peaceful, there are many children, there is a playground nearby. Now it’s just scary to be here,” said a resident of Valuyek.
The city of Valuyki is located 20 km from the Russian-Ukrainian border and is regularly shelled. The shelling killed at least three residents of the city. The last time Valuyki was shelled was on the morning of 5 July.
