Ministry of Defense of Russia published video of the reflection of the attack of unmanned boats of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the warship of the Black Sea Fleet “Priazovye”.
Former department reported about an attempt by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to attack the ship. According to the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to attack the Russian ship at about 1 hour 30 minutes with six high-speed unmanned boats. The ministry added that, like during other similar attacks, an American RQ-4B Global Hawk drone was conducting reconnaissance in the Black Sea at night.
The Ministry of Defense also emphasized that the Azov region provides security along the routes of the Turkish Stream and Blue Stream gas pipelines in the southeastern part of the Black Sea.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine have already made several attempts to attack the Black Sea Fleet. Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported that on March 23 and April 24, Ukraine tried to attack the bases of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol, as well as the civilian infrastructure of Crimea, with unmanned boats.
After that, the department said that such attacks jeopardize the extension of the grain deal. The ministry then reported that an analysis of the route of movement of Ukrainian unmanned boats showed that they were launched from the port of Odessa, which is involved in the Black Sea initiative.
