Telegraph: APU can’t launch counteroffensive because of rain
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) cannot yet launch a counteroffensive due to weather conditions, namely because of rain. This is reported The Telegraph.
“Heavy rain impedes Kyiv’s counteroffensive. The heavy rain is said to have turned the land of southern Ukraine to mud and slowed down the Ukrainian counteroffensive,” writes journalist James Kilner.
It is also noted that Leopard tanks supplied by Western countries to Ukraine, placed at the forefront for the offensive, are forced to move through a large swamp, which was formed as a result of precipitation. Because of this, the advance of the troops was greatly slowed down.
It is worth noting that on the eve of the speaker of the Russian Ministry of Defense Igor Konashenkov reported on attempts the Ukrainian army to carry out an offensive in the South Donetsk, Zaporozhye and Donetsk directions. However, they were all unsuccessful.
