The Ministry of Defense reported the interception of four HIMARS shells

Over the past day, air defense systems intercepted four HIMARS multiple rocket launchers (MLRS), and also destroyed 39 Ukrainian UAVs, reported Ministry of Defense in its daily summary.

Drones were shot down in the areas of the settlements of Nikolaevka, Zolotarevka, Novozvanovka, Kremennaya LPR, Berestovoye, Kodema, Aleksandrovka DPR, Novaya Kakhovka in the Kherson region, Mirne and Trudovoe in the Zaporozhye region.

In the Kupyansk direction, units of the “Western” group of troops repelled five attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Sinkovka, Kharkov region, Novoselovskoye and Raigorodka of the LPR. And in the Tabaevka area, the ammunition depot of the 103rd Territorial Defense Brigade was destroyed.

In the Zaporozhye direction, Russian troops repulsed four attacks by units of the 65th mechanized and 82nd air assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Uspenovka and Rabotino districts of the Zaporozhye region. In this direction, 11 enemy guns and four mortars were hit during the day, including two M777 artillery systems and three M119 towed howitzers made in the USA, Polish-made Krab and French-made Cezar self-propelled artillery mounts, as well as the FH -70″ manufactured in the UK.

In the Donetsk direction, Russian units repelled three attacks by assault groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of Novomikhailovka and Avdeevka of the DPR, in Krasnolimansky – two attacks south of the settlement of Chervonaya Dibrova of the LPR.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine also suffered losses in the Yuzhno-Donetsk direction in the areas of the settlements of Makarovka, Staromayorskoe and Harvest DPR and in the Kherson direction, where two M777s and a D-30 howitzer were destroyed. In addition, in Vasilkovka, Dnepropetrovsk region, Russian units destroyed an ammunition depot of the 1st Tank Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Formerly Ministry of Defense reported about the destruction on August 22 at about 11:00 a.m. of a military boat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with a landing group in the area of ​​the Black Sea island of Zmeiny. And on the night of August 22, the Russian Su-30cm aircraft destroyed reconnaissance boat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of ​​gas production facilities in the Black Sea. This is not the first time the Ukrainian Armed Forces have used boats to attack. In particular, on August 18, the Ministry of Defense reported on an attempt by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to attack ships of the Black Sea Fleet 237 km from Sevastopol using unmanned boats. As a result, the drone was destroyed.
