Russian air defense systems destroyed two Su-25 aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson direction in a day. About it says in the daily report of the Ministry of Defense.
“The air defense systems in the areas of the settlements of Zolotaya Balka and Tyaginka in the Kherson region destroyed two Su-25 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force. Also, seven rockets of the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system were intercepted during the day,” the statement said.
The Ministry of Defense also noted that the Airborne Forces helped assault detachments in conducting offensive operations in the western part of Artemovsk (the Ukrainian name is Bakhmut), holding back the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the flanks. In total, over the past day, the Ukrainian side has lost up to 300 servicemen in this direction, one Grad MLRS vehicle and an Akatsiya artillery mount.
In other directions, the Russian Armed Forces continued to strike at the positions and facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. So, in the South-Donetsk and Zaporizhzhya directions, the actions of the Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group in the area of the settlement of Novomikhailovka in the DPR were suppressed.
The Russian special operation in Ukraine has been going on since February 24, 2022. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, during this time, the Russian Armed Forces destroyed 418 enemy aircraft and 230 helicopters. More than 3,960 drones were also shot down.
