Ministry of Defense: The Russian Armed Forces used the most modern electronic warfare system in the Kupyansk direction
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Russian group of troops “West”, during a special military operation (SVO) on the territory of Ukraine, used the most modern electronic warfare (EW) complex in the Kupyansk direction, which provides all-aspect protection from any unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The Russian military department demonstrated footage of a mobile electronic warfare group detecting and suppressing drones and radio sources of enemy forces. The ministry emphasized that the group regularly changes its location to avoid enemy attacks. It is noted that this is only possible due to the mobility of the complex, the deployment of which requires a few minutes.
The ministry’s commentary states that the corresponding complex is capable of detecting an enemy “bird” from a distance of two or three kilometers, about which it immediately gives an audible signal. After this, as noted by the Ministry of Defense, all that remains is to wait for the operator’s go-ahead, a command to suppress the target. The department clarified that the equipment can operate around the clock.
