Air defense systems destroyed seven missiles, the patrol ship Vasily Bykov destroyed all the boats, the department emphasized. As a result of the missile hits, two ships undergoing repairs were damaged.
Previously, the governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev reported about a fire at the southern site of the Sevastopol Marine Plant as a result of a missile attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to him, the enterprise was shelled at about 03:20 Moscow time. As a result, 24 people were injured, four of them are in moderate condition.
Sevastopol Marine Plant is the largest ship repair and shipbuilding enterprise in Crimea. It is the main repair base of the Black Sea Fleet.
Ukraine regularly makes attempts to attack Crimea and, in particular, Sevastopol. The regions are at a “yellow” (high) level of terrorist threat indefinitely. In addition, since October 19, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, a medium level of response has been established in Crimea and Sevastopol.
