20 Ukrainian drones were destroyed by air defense systems over the Kursk and Belgorod regions, the Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
“Tonight, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack by an aircraft-type UAV on objects on the territory of the Russian Federation was stopped,” the message says.
It is noted that 18 drones were destroyed over the Kursk region and 2 over the Belgorod region.
Earlier, the governor of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoyt, reported in his Telegram channel that 12 drones launched by the armed forces of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, were shot down in the sky over Kursk and the Kursk region. According to his information, debris from downed drones fell both in the city limits of Kursk and in the village of Zorino. There were no injuries, the district head said. Earlier, the governor warned about the start of air defense systems in the region.
On Saturday morning, 2 Ukrainian drones were shot down off the coast of the Krasnodar Territory.
