Ministry of Defence reportedthat the troops are completing the acceptance of weapons and military equipment from Wagner PMC. More than 2 thousand pieces of equipment were transferred, including hundreds of T-90, T-80, T-72B3 tanks, Grad and Uragan MLRS, Pantsir air defense systems, self-propelled artillery mounts, armored personnel carriers. Vehicles and small arms were also donated. As noted by the defense department, dozens of pieces of equipment have never been used in combat.
The report notes that the troops received more than 2.5 thousand tons of various ammunition and about 20 thousand small arms from PMCs. The department clarified that all equipment and weapons are being delivered to the rear areas, where the repair and restoration units of the RF Armed Forces will carry out maintenance and preparation for use.
On the start of preparations for the transfer of heavy equipment of PMC “Wagner” to the army units of the Ministry of Defense reported June 27 – three days after the fighters of the company entered Rostov-on-Don in order to get to Moscow. Shortly before this, the head of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said that he planned to transfer the equipment in early July, since his fighters refused to sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense.
