The Ukrainian military arbitrarily leave their combat positions and leave the combat area due to heavy losses and lack of ammunition, informs Ministry of Defense of Russia.
It is noted that in Soledar, during the completion of the 10th mountain assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, more than a third of the mobilized citizens arbitrarily left their units.
According to the Ministry of Defense, more than half of the military of the 3rd battalion of the 66th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine deserted in the area of Maryinka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). The department points to “significant losses” of the enemy and a shortage of ammunition.
On February 24, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, the goals of which were the denazification, demilitarization of Ukraine and the liberation of the LPR and DPR. On July 3, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported to President Vladimir Putin on the liberation of the LPR.
In early August, the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin informedthat the allied forces managed to liberate about half of the entire territory of the DPR. In addition, Kherson region was completely liberated in May. Most of the Zaporozhye region is also under the control of the Russian military.
