Lithuania proposes EU to declare tourist visas of Russians invalid

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis, during a conversation with journalists, said that the issue of banning Schengen tourist visas for Russians should be decided at the EU level.
He explained that after the start of the special operation, Lithuania suspended the issuance of tourist visas to Russians. However, citizens of the Russian Federation can obtain a visa, for example, at a German consulate and use it to travel to Lithuania, Finland or Estonia. Vilnius is dissatisfied with this current procedure.
“The best option would be a pan-European decision to declare these visas invalid. Then everyone would simply stop issuing them,” Landsbergis said.
