The Ministry of Defense of China declared its readiness to cooperate with the Russian army

The Chinese armed forces are ready to cooperate with the Russian army to strengthen strategic coordination, Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Tan Kefei said.

“The Chinese army is ready to make efforts together with the Russian army to fully implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two states to further strengthen strategic coordination and communication,” leads his words to RIA Novosti.

The representative of the Chinese Ministry of Defense also noted that relations between Moscow and Beijing cannot be considered a military-political alliance, similar to which existed during the Cold War era. “They are superior to this model of state relations,” he added.

At the talks held in Moscow on March 20-21 with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow was carefully studied the Chinese plan for a peaceful settlement in Ukraine, it can be taken as a basis. At the same time, Russia does not see the readiness for a peaceful settlement in the West and the Kyiv side, he stated. In turn, the Chinese President said that his country adheres to the settlement of the conflict on the basis of the UN Charter, promotes the reconciliation of the parties and the resumption of negotiations, and always stands for peace and dialogue.

On March 26, Putin announced that Russia does not create there is no military alliance with China, and cooperation between Moscow and Beijing is transparent.

Earlier in March Russia, Iran and China held naval exercises “Marine Security Belt – 2023” in the Gulf of Oman. The Russian side is represented by a detachment of ships of the Northern Fleet – the frigate “Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Gorshkov” and the medium sea tanker “Kama”.
