The Ministry of Defense named Ukrainian participants in US biological programs in Ukraine

Igor Kirillov, Chief of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Troops (RCBZ) of the Russian Armed Forces, at a briefing made public the names of several dozen citizens of Ukraine who participated in the US military biological programs in the country.

So, one of the participants, according to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, is the head of the sanitary and epidemiological department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergey Morgun. He allegedly was one of the organizers of the interaction between the Ukrainian Defense Ministry and the US Agency for the Reduction of the Threat of Mass Destruction Weapons (DTRA), oversaw research on hantaviruses. Another participant is the head of the public health center Volodymyr Kurpita, who led the interaction of Ukrainian specialists with DTRA and the transfer of biological samples from Ukrainian citizens abroad.

The head of the reference laboratories of the Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Irina Demchishina, acted as an intermediary in interaction with Pentagon contractors, Kirillov added.

In the prepared presentation by Kirillov, the list of persons involved in military biological research also includes Denis Muzyka, Deputy Director for International Cooperation of IEKVM, Larisa Pekarskaya and Natalya Mikhailovskaya, managers of contracting companies Black and Veatch and Metabiota, Igor Lozinsky, head of the laboratories of natural focal infections of the Research Institute of Epidemiology and Hygiene of LNMU, and others .

“In total, the Russian Ministry of Defense has information about more than a hundred participants in dual-purpose biological programs. Currently, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation is checking more than 10 US citizens, as well as a number of officials of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, for involvement in the implementation of these programs,” Kirillov said.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in March 2022 showed documents that prove that Ukraine was engaged in the creation of components of biological weapons. At the same time, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that in Ukraine there was a “network of dozens of laboratories” where military biological programs were carried out with the support of the United States.

At the end of January Kirillov informed on the suppression of US military biological programs in Ukraine. According to him, the United States moved its military biological equipment from Ukraine to the Baltic countries and Poland. The United States is also increasing cooperation with the countries of Africa and the Asia-Pacific region – Kenya, Singapore, Thailand, he noted then.
