The Ministry of Defense called the words of the British admiral about the losses of Russia in Ukraine a lie

The words of the Chief of Defense Staff of Great Britain, Admiral Anthony Radakin, about the losses of the Russian Armed Forces are lies, reported The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in its Telegram channel.

During the hearings in the British Parliament on July 4, Radakin, as reported Financial Times, announced the loss of the Russian Armed Forces “almost half of its combat capability.” According to him, Russia allegedly lost 2,500 tanks, and also used up about 10 million artillery shells.

“The published FT estimates by the British Admiral Radakin of the losses of Russian armored vehicles, and coupled with the alleged loss of “half of their combat capability” by the Russian armed forces, are discouraging with the universal scale of lies,” the Ministry of Defense said.

Such statements come against the backdrop of the “groaning” of British military leaders about the depletion of the kingdom’s arsenals, the defense department added. All the “scrap metal” delivered to Kyiv will be melted down and become “good raw materials” for the restoration of new regions, the Ministry of Defense believes.

Radakin, however, believes in the ministry, with such statements he only seeks to increase funding for the purchase of new weapons.

“In the absence of any results of the Ukrainian army on the battlefield, and now it is becoming more and more clear – even their prospects, one can only fantasize about the “loss of combat capability” of the Russian army,” the Defense Ministry added.

After the start of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine, Western countries began to provide financial assistance to Ukraine and supply it with military equipment and weapons. The Russian authorities have repeatedly criticized such supplies, noting the growing direct and indirect involvement of Western countries in the conflict. Earlier, the UK transferred Storm Shadow long-range cruise missiles to Ukraine.
