The Ministry of Defense awarded military personnel who distinguished themselves during the arrest of the Crocus attackers

Deputy Commander of the Leningrad Military District, Lieutenant General Esedulla Abachev, presented awards to the military who participated in the detention in the Bryansk region of four men accused of the attack on Crocus City Hall. How reported press service of the Ministry of Defense, all awarded military personnel distinguished themselves during their arrest.

The presentation of awards took place at the unit’s positions in the Bryansk region. “Lieutenant General Esedulla Abachev presented the military personnel with well-deserved awards and personally congratulated each one, highly appreciating the completion of the assigned combat missions,” the Ministry of Defense said in a statement. “They showed their skill, the commanders showed themselves, well done,” Esedulla Abachev said in the video. He presented medals “For Courage” and medals of the Ministry of Defense “For Military Distinctions”.

Head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov saidthat together with the FSB Special Purpose Center, fighters of the Akhmat detachment, stationed in the Bryansk region and ensuring the protection of the state border with Ukraine, took part in the detainment of the four attackers.

In total, according to the FSB, 11 people involved in the attack on Crocus City Hall were detained. According to the latest data, 137 people were killed in the terrorist attack, including three children, and 182 people were injured. Debris clearing at the site of the burnt complex continues.
