The Ministry of Defense announced the reflection of attempts to attack the Armed Forces of Ukraine in three directions

Over the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have made attempts to attack in three directions: South-Donetsk, Zaporozhye and Donetsk, reported The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in its daily report on the progress of the special operation.

In the Zaporozhye direction, in the areas of the settlements of Novodanilovka and Yablokovo, the 65th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reinforced with tanks, carried out two attacks, which were repelled by units of the Vostok group of troops. In the area of ​​​​the Vremevsky ledge, Russian aircraft attacked enemy positions in the areas of the villages of Novodonetskoye, Storozhevoye of the Donetsk People’s Republic and Levadnoye of the Zaporozhye region.

In the Donetsk direction, Russian forces repelled 10 attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Veseleye, Georgievka, Pervomayskoye, Krasnogorovka, Vodyanoye and Maryinka in the DPR in a day. The losses of the Ukrainian side in this direction amounted to 400 military personnel, one tank and several pieces of light equipment. According to the Ministry of Defense, the enemy lost up to 200 people, eight tanks and 13 armored fighting vehicles in the Zaporozhye and South-Donetsk directions.

Russian aviation continued to strike at military targets, destroying the ammunition depots of the 109th territorial defense brigade, as well as the 44th artillery and 60th mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have been conducting offensive operations since June 4. On June 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had definitely begun, but the Ukrainian army was not able to achieve its goals in any sector. June 16 during the plenary session SPIEF Putin said that the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are 10 times higher than the Russian ones.

On June 13, at a meeting with military officers, Putin said that starting from June 4, Kyiv could lose up to 30% of the equipment delivered from abroad in an attempt to launch a large-scale counteroffensive. According to him, since that moment the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 160 tanks and 360 armored vehicles.
