The Ministry of Defense announced the prevention of a terrorist attack in the Shebekin area

The Russian Armed Forces prevented an attempt by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to commit a terrorist attack near the town of Shebekino, Belgorod Region. About it says in the daily report of the Ministry of Defense.

“This morning, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, together with units of the Border Guard Service and other units of the Russian FSB, thwarted a new attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist act against the civilian population of the city of Shebekino, Belgorod Region,” the statement said.

The department clarified that as a result of intensive shelling of civilian objects from Ukraine around 03:00 Moscow time, “Ukrainian terrorist formations with forces of up to two motorized infantry companies, reinforced with tanks, attempted to invade the territory of the Russian Federation in the area of ​​​​the settlement of Novaya Tavolzhanka and the international automobile checkpoint passes “Shebekino”.

The Russian military repulsed three attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on which 11 strikes were carried out by the army aviation of the Western Military District, and 77 fire missions were carried out by rocket troops and artillery. As a result of the operation, the armed formations were driven back from the border with Russia, crossing the border was not allowed, more than 30 Ukrainian servicemen were killed.

Over the past week, shelling of the territory of the Belgorod region by the Armed Forces of Ukraine has become more frequent. In this regard, Gladkov announced the evacuation of the children of the Shebekinsky and Grayvoronsky districts. On May 31, the first 300 children left for Voronezh. Today, June 1, another 200 people will be transported to Penza, June 3, 600 people will be sent to Kaluga and Yaroslavl, the governor specified.

Now in the Belgorod region there is a “yellow” level of terrorist danger, as well as a medium-level response regime. In addition to the Belgorod region, such a regime has been established in seven other regions – Crimea, Krasnodar Territory, Sevastopol, Kursk, Voronezh, Bryansk and Rostov regions.
