Air defense systems shot down eight Storm Shadow cruise missiles during an attempt by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to attack Crimea. About it reports Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Earlier today, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev reported about two downed air targets in the city. Later he clarifiedthat rocket debris fell in a private sector in the Mekenzi Mountains area, as a result, a 57-year-old man received a moderate injury to his lower leg, there is no threat to his life.

Debris also fell on the grounds of School No. 27 on the North Side. At that moment, there were children in the school building attending extra classes. The children were taken to a shelter on the ground floor of the school, but there were no injuries. In addition, fragments were found on several more streets of Sevastopol. There were no casualties, but in some cases residential buildings were damaged.

Razvozhaev emphasized that no “serious damage” to buildings and communications was recorded.

Crimea is regularly attacked by Ukraine. In Crimea and Sevastopol, a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat remains in effect indefinitely. Also, from October 19, 2022, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, a medium level of response was established on the peninsula and in the city.
