The Ministry of Defense announced the interception of a drone over the Voronezh region

A Ukrainian drone was intercepted on the morning of September 17 in the sky over the Voronezh region, reported press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“On September 17, at about 9.40 Moscow time, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack by an aircraft-type UAV on objects on the territory of the Russian Federation was stopped,” the message says.
Governor of the Voronezh region Alexander Gusev in his Telegram channel clarifiedthat the drone was identified and suppressed by electronic warfare forces. As a result of the incident, no one was injured and no damage was recorded, he added.
On the afternoon of August 30, electronic warfare systems also suppressed a drone in the region, and on July 13, three drones were destroyed a few kilometers from Voronezh.
Since October 19, 2022, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, a medium level of response has been established in the Voronezh region. The same regime operates in seven more regions – Crimea, Sevastopol, Krasnodar Territory, Kursk, Bryansk, Belgorod and Rostov regions.
