The Ministry of Defense announced the end of the spring conscription

The spring conscription-2023 in Russia has been completed, 147 thousand people have been sent to the Armed Forces and other military formations. This was reported in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The Russian military department recalled that the work of draft commissions started on April 1, and the sending of conscripts to the troops began on April 20. Young people who came to the military registration and enlistment offices were given the right to choose service in various types and branches of the military, taking into account their state of health and the results of professional psychological selection. Before being sent, the conscripts were given everyday uniforms, as well as bank and personal electronic travel bag cards.

The Ministry of Defense noted that 14 flights of aircraft of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, 9 military echelons, 153 flights of civil aviation, more than 2 thousand cars as part of passenger trains, as well as road transport of military units were used to ensure military transportation.

Most of the conscripts were enrolled in training formations and military units, where within five months they will master modern military equipment and receive a military specialty. Particular attention was also paid to the formation of scientific, research and production and sports companies. About 490 young guys were sent to scientific and research and production companies, and about 200 members of the Russian Olympic sports team were sent to sports companies.
