The Russian Air Defense Forces (Air Defense) shot down a Ukrainian Su-27 aircraft in the Kharkiv region. This is reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
“Air defense systems shot down a Su-27 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force near the city of Izyum, Kharkiv region. During the day, four rockets of the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system were intercepted, – says in the next report of May 10.
In the Donetsk direction, the assault detachments continued their offensive and taking control of the quarters on the northwestern and western outskirts of Artemovsk (the Ukrainian name is Bakhmut). Airborne units prevented enemy attempts to attack Russian troops on the flanks. During the day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost more than 240 people in this direction.
In the Kupyansky direction in the areas of the settlements of Krakhmalnoe, Timkovka, Kharkiv region and Stelmakhovka of the LPR, the Russian army stopped the actions of five Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups (DRGs). Enemy losses in this direction amounted to 50 military men.
Up to 60 Ukrainian soldiers were destroyed in the Krasnolymansky direction, and up to 80 in the Kherson direction. The total losses of the enemy in the South-Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions amounted to 70 people.
In addition, in the Orekhov region of the Zaporozhye region, the Russian military hit a point of repair, restoration of weapons and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In the Kherson region, an enemy ammunition depot was destroyed.
The Russian special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of hostilities, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 420 aircraft, 230 helicopters, over 4,000 drones and more than 9,000 tanks and other armored combat vehicles.
