Over the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have lost up to 135 soldiers in the Donetsk direction. About it informs Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

“Up to 135 Ukrainian servicemen were destroyed in the course of offensive actions and artillery fire from the “Southern” group of forces in the Donetsk direction,” the report of February 16 says.

In the same direction, the Armed Forces (AF) of the Russian Federation hit two HIMARS MLRS, three tanks, two D-20 and D-30 howitzers, as well as an American AN / TPQ-50 counter-battery radar. In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy lost up to 65 servicemen, in the Krasnolimansky direction – more than 100, and in the Yuzhnodonetsk and Zaporozhye – over 55.

The Ministry of Defense noted that in the Kherson direction, the Russian Armed Forces destroyed the Akatsiya self-propelled howitzer and the Msta-B howitzer, and four enemy ammunition depots were also hit. In the Kharkiv region, the Russian military shot down a Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter.

The day before, February 15, the department reported about the continuation of the offensive in the Donetsk direction, on which the enemy lost up to 190 military personnel per day. February 13 Russian military have taken under the control of the village of Krasnaya Gora in the DPR.

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia, and on October 19 martial law was introduced in the regions.
