On the morning of September 26, Russian air defense systems shot down a Ukrainian aircraft-type drone in the sky over the Kursk region. About it reports Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The drones were destroyed around 05:30 Moscow time. Kyiv planned to attack targets on Russian territory, the military department noted. The governor of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoyt, has not yet commented on the incident.

On September 25, Ukraine attempted to attack the territory of the Kursk region five times using drones. In all cases they were shot down by air defense. In particular, two drones were destroyed early in the morning. As a result, several private houses and the roof of an administrative building in Kursk were damaged, and glass in an apartment building was also broken, Starovoit reported.

Then two attacks were stopped at 10:00 and 10:30 Moscow time. In addition, Kyiv tried to attack the Kursk region twice on the evening of September 25 – a total of four drones were destroyed. The regional governor did not report on the consequences of the attacks.

The Kursk region is regularly attacked by Ukraine. The region has an indefinite high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat. Since October 19, 2022, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, a “medium level of response” has been established in the region.
