Russian troops continue offensive operations in the Donetsk direction as part of an ongoing military special operation, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said during a daily briefing.

“In the Donetsk direction, Russian troops continue offensive operations. During the day, more than 100 Ukrainian servicemen, one tank, five armored combat vehicles and five vehicles were destroyed in this direction,” he said.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine, in turn, again made unsuccessful attempts to advance by the forces of the company tactical group on Krasnolimansky in the direction of Chervonopovka in the LPR and in the Kupyansky direction in the direction of Ivanovka, Kharkov region. Both groups were defeated, Konashenkov said.

The Russian forces also destroyed the UAF missile and artillery depot in the Zaporizhia region, the Ukrainian Osa-AKM air defense system, and the Ukrainian Pelican air defense radar in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
