The village of Udy in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine came under the control of Russian troops, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry said on Sunday.
“As a result of the offensive actions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the settlement of Udy, Kharkov Region, has been completely liberated,” told in the defense department.
The village of Udy is located in the Zolochevsky district, not far from the border with the Belgorod region.
Earlier, the Russian military destroyed on the territory of the plant in Kharkov destroyed two installations of the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system, said the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Igor Konashenkov. The Ministry of Defense also spoke about the strike on the temporary deployment point of the nationalist formation “Kraken” in Kharkov, as a result of which up to 350 people and 11 pieces of military equipment were destroyed.
At the end of July, the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin declaredthat the time has come to expand the zone of the special operation in Ukraine, which will allow the release of large cities that are under the control of Ukraine. Among these, he named Kyiv, Chernigov, Poltava, Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk, Kharkov, Zaporozhye and Lutsk.
Since February 24, the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions of Ukraine have passed under the control of the Russian Armed Forces. In the military-civilian administration (VGA) of the Kherson region declaredthat the liberated territories of the Nikolaev region are planned to be annexed to the Kherson region.
