The Russian armed forces took control of the village of Kodema in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), should from the new report of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“As a result of successful offensive operations in the Donetsk People’s Republic, units of the Russian armed forces completely liberated the village of Kodema from nationalists,” the message says.
The ministry also noted that over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian troops have not attempted an offensive in the Nikolaev-Kryvyi Rih direction. According to the Ministry of Defense, earlier the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered heavy losses.
It is reported that 150 Ukrainian soldiers, as well as 4 tanks, 6 infantry fighting vehicles and 5 other armored vehicles, were destroyed in this direction in just a day. In addition, the Russian military attacked an ammunition depot in the Nikolaev region.

In May, the Kherson region was completely liberated. Most of the Zaporozhye region is also under the control of the Russian military. New pro-Russian administrations were formed in both regions. Part of the Kharkiv region is also controlled by Russia.
At the end of August, Shoigu reported that the special operation was going according to plan. He explained that the slowdown in the advance of the Russian troops is deliberate and due to the desire to avoid casualties among civilians.
