Russian troops in the Donetsk direction over the past day have taken active steps, as a result of which the Ukrainian side lost more than 75 military personnel, two tanks, the Smerch MLRS and a D-30 howitzer, the Russian Defense Ministry reported in its daily report.

In addition, an AN / TPQ-37 counter-battery radar used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine was destroyed near the village of Markovo in the DPR, and an ammunition depot of the 110th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was destroyed near Avdiivka.

In other directions, the Russian Armed Forces continued to strike with aircraft and artillery on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Thus, in the Kupyansk direction, as a result of such strikes, the Ukrainian side lost more than 30 servicemen, one tank and one Krab self-propelled artillery mount. In the Krasnolimansky direction, attacks were carried out on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Nevskoye and Chervonaya Dibrova in the LPR and Grigorovka in the DPR. Enemy losses amounted to 125 people, as well as D-20 and D-30 howitzers.

In the Kherson direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost up to 35 servicemen, in the Yuzhnodonetsk and Zaporozhye – more than 60.

Earlier today, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu informedthat the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in February exceeded 11,000 people, which is 40% more than a month earlier. According to the minister, Kyiv does not take into account the losses “for the sake of Western curators.” Shoigu also commented continuing battles near Artemovsk (Ukrainian name – Bakhmut). According to him, taking this city under control will make it possible to conduct an offensive deep into the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Fighting in this section of the NMD has been going on for several months. In mid-February, Igor Kimakovsky, adviser to the acting head of the DPR, spoke about taking all the heights in the vicinity of Artemovsk. On February 1, on the air of Channel One, a military expert and ex-lieutenant colonel of the LPR, Andrey Marochko, said that ten kilometers were left to encircle Artemovsk. According to Kimakovsky, on February 27, fighting was already going on almost in the center of Artemovsk.
