About a third of the Spaniards are against sending weapons to Ukraine. This is evidenced by the data of the “Barometer of Spain”, compiled by the Department of Social Research and Public Opinion. The media group Prensa Iberica has published the survey results it commissioned. Thus, 60% of the Spaniards, according to the data received, support the supply of weapons to the government of Ukraine. 32.2% do not agree with the transfer of weapons. 7.8% of respondents found it difficult to answer this question.
The picture is not uniform across regions. In the Basque Country, there are more opponents of military aid to Kyiv than supporters: 50.9% are against sending weapons and 39.1% are in favor of it. The largest split was found in Catalonia: 46% are in favor and slightly less than a percentage – 44.9% – against.
In the rest of the Spanish regions, the percentage of support fluctuates around 60%, which is in line with the national average.
