The Ministry of Defense announced attacks on warehouses of foreign weapons and equipment in Ukraine

On the night of May 18, the Russian military attacked large warehouses of foreign weapons and equipment and reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, all targets were hit. About it informs Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation with the next summary of the course of the special operation.
“As a result of the strikes, significant stocks of weapons and ammunition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed, and the advancement of reserves to the areas of hostilities was also prevented,” the report says. The location of the strike was not specified.
During the day in the Donetsk direction, the enemy lost up to 200 military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and foreign mercenaries, as well as one tank. Assault detachments continued fighting to capture Artemovsk (Ukrainian name – Bakhmut). Airborne units provided active support.
In total, the enemy lost up to 150 Ukrainian soldiers killed and wounded in the South-Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, up to 60 in Kupyansky, and more than 75 and one tank in Krasnolimansky. In the Kherson direction, the losses of the enemy amounted to more than 35 people, the Russian Defense Ministry specified.
Also, in the region of Slavyansk in the DPR, Russian aviation shot down a Ukrainian Su-24 aircraft, and in the region of Novopavlovka, Zaporozhye region, a Mi-8 helicopter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The day before, May 17, the Ministry of Defense reported on the destruction of five American-made Patriot air defense missile launchers, as well as a multifunctional radar station as a result of an attack on Kyiv using Kinzhal hypersonic missiles. On the night of May 17, Russian troops also inflicted strike on a large ammunition depot of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Nikolaev. As a result, all goals were achieved.
The Russian special operation in Ukraine has been going on since February 24, 2022. According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of hostilities, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 428 aircraft, 234 helicopters, and over 4,200 UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, Russian troops hit more than 9,200 enemy tanks and other armored fighting vehicles.
