The Ministry of Defense announced an improvement in the positions of the Russian Armed Forces in the Kupyansk direction

Over the past day, the Russian military has improved the position along the front line in the Kupyansk direction. About it informs Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
“In the Kupyansk direction, units of the Western Group of Forces, in the course of active operations with the support of aviation and artillery fire, improved the position along the front line,” the department’s daily report on the course of the special operation says.
In the same direction, the Armed Forces (AF) of the Russian Federation repelled five attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of Sinkovka (Kharkiv region), Novoselovsky, Raigorodka and Novoegorovka (LNR). In the Zaporozhye direction, Russian troops repelled three enemy attacks, in the Donetsk direction – six.
Two attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine were repelled in the Krasnolimansk and Yuzhnodonets directions. In addition, in the area of Urozhaynoye (DPR), the Armed Forces (AF) of the Russian Federation stopped the activities of a group of Ukrainian saboteurs. Near Torsky in the DPR, an enemy command post was hit.
The day before, August 25, the Ministry of Defense reported about the strike with precision weapons on the port infrastructure facility, which was used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Also, a total of 13 attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were repelled in the Donetsk, Kupyansk, Zaporozhye, Yuzhno-Donetsk and Krasnoliman directions.
Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. According to the Ministry of Defense, since that moment, 464 aircraft, 246 helicopters, over 6,100 drones, as well as more than 11,500 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been destroyed.
