Russian air defense systems once again managed to thwart Ukraine’s attempt to strike targets on Russian territory. About it reported in the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the country.
“August 26, at about 2:15 pm Moscow time, another attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack by an aircraft-type UAV against objects on the territory of the Russian Federation was thwarted,” the Russian defense ministry said in a statement.
The ministry clarified that the drone was destroyed in the sky over the Belgorod region.
It is worth noting that the day before, the governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported that near the village of Kupino in the Shebekinsky urban district, Russian air defense systems shot down an aircraft-type drone. A little later he informed about a downed drone over Belgorod and the Belgorod region.
First time on Saturday, Kyiv tried to attack the territory of the Russian Federation with a drone in the morning at 9:00 Moscow time, but it was shot down by Russian air defense. He was shot down over the territory of the Shebekinsky district of the Belgorod region.
