On the evening of August 17, an unmanned boat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine made an attempt to attack ships of the Black Sea Fleet 237 km from Sevastopol, the drone was destroyed. About it informs press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“Today at 22:55, the armed forces of Ukraine made an unsuccessful attempt to attack ships of the Black Sea Fleet with a sea unmanned boat, performing tasks to control navigation in the southwestern part of the Black Sea, 237 km southwest of Sevastopol,” the statement said.
The department noted that the patrol ship “Inquisitive” and the patrol ship “Vasily Bykov” fired at the drone from onboard weapons. As a result, the enemy was destroyed, he did not reach the goal of the attack. The Ministry of Defense added that now the ships continue to carry out their tasks.
The previous time the Ministry of Defense reported about an attempt to attack the ships of the Black Sea Fleet on August 1. Then the APU unsuccessfully tried attack with three unmanned sea boats “Sergey Kotov” and “Vasily Bykov”, which performed the tasks of controlling navigation 340 km southwest of Sevastopol.
