The Ministry of Defense announced a strike on an airfield in the Kyiv region

The Russian military on the night of Sunday, August 27, hit the airfield in the Pinchuki region in the Kyiv region with high-precision weapons, the goal of the strike was achieved, reported in the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

“Tonight, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched a strike with high-precision long-range air-launched weapons at an airfield near the village of Pinchuki in the Kyiv region. The target has been reached. All designated objects were hit, ”the defense department said in a summary.

In addition, over the past day, according to the ministry, fighter aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down a Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter near the village of Zalivnoye in the Zaporozhye region. The Russian military repulsed a number of attacks in different directions: 11 attacks were repelled in the Kupyan direction in the regions of the Kharkiv region and the LPR, in the Zaporozhye direction – five attacks in the Rabotino and Uspenovka regions of the Zaporozhye region. A few more attacks were repulsed in the Donetsk and Krasnoliman directions. During the day, 30 UAVs were destroyed in different areas, the report says.

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022.
