In an interview for the “Moscow. Kremlin. Putin” program, the head of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sergei Lavrov, said that the leaders of the BRICS countries are busy with practical work and solving specific problems, while Western politicians and journalists are more guided by verbal statements.
Part of this interview was published in the Telegram channel of journalist Pavel Zarubin. In his comments, the minister noted that the BRICS leaders work with their heads, while Western politicians and journalists work with their tongues.
Earlier, the German publicist of the Berliner Zeitung newspaper, Ramon Schak, said that the expansion of the BRICS was a personal defeat for the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell.
Recall that the BRICS decided to join Argentina, Egypt, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia. These countries will become members of the organization from January 1, 2024.
