All mass and entertainment events in federal cultural institutions that were planned for the coming days are canceled due to the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall near Moscow, the Ministry of Culture reported. Previous cancellation of public events announced Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov, as well as the authorities of a dozen Russian regions.

“A terrible, incomprehensible tragedy at Crocus City Hall.” Mass and entertainment events at federal cultural institutions are canceled for the coming days,” the press service of the Ministry of Culture reported (quoted by Interfax). The department also expressed condolences to the families and friends of the victims. According to preliminary data from the FSB, during the terrorist attack died 40 people, more than 100 injured.

On the evening of March 22, a group of unknown people opened fire before the start of a concert at Crocus City Hall. A fire started in the concert hall building and explosions occurred. The authorities of the Kirov, Rostov, Lipetsk, Tambov, Kaliningrad and Tyumen regions, Ingushetia, Udmurtia, North Ossetia, Chechnya, Mordovia, Komi and Kalmykia announced the cancellation of mass events and increased security of public places due to the terrorist attack.
